Later.  Much later.  :)  When I put the thermostat in, I ended up with a leak at the housing.  And it's a bitch to get to.  My hands are so cut up and hurtin from beatin 'em up on the Beater that I'm takin a break (besides...it's still 92 and bright sunlight) until the Advil takes over and I can go seal it up.  Then we'll see if the damned thing works.

Ohhh...and I'm gonna do some more stuff on the Monte Carlo.  Btw, I put the driver's seat and steering wheel back in and took a shot looking out the windshield.  I don't think I'll have to hang my head out the window (good thing, cuz if ya don't have a window net, ya gotta have the window rolled up.)

I think this shot's actually a little low.  I  was kinda tryin for the best photo and I think I ended up lower than I'd usually sit.  Yeah, I'm short, but not that short.  :)

I've never tried this trick before: putting the thermostat in a pot of water and observing the temperature at which it opens.

This is a brand-new, unused 180F thermostat from Otter Zone.  Here it's closed at just under 200F:

And here, it's wide open at just OVER 200F:

It sure seems like a 195 thermostat to me, but it's marked 180.

I dunno.
