LT1 is a different animal. It's about 90% the same as a traditional small block but intake, heads accys ,dissy etc are different. A popular mod for police cars here was to replace the cam driven water pump with an electric one as the elec cools better at idle.

I believe I have those brackets already, don't I? <G>

That one isn't for sale, as far as I know, anyway.

The LT! would be nice in the elky. Just make sure it's an LT1 and not the baby LT1. Check the vin code IIRC it should be P. You will need the F-body accy brackets though and it will drop right in.

It is a Buick. It's also and LT1 in complete running order that would work nicely in the Elky.

Oh my goodness.............thanks for thinking of me with this, John!!! :)

If you find out what the asking price is for this wagon, let me know, John. Hmmmm.....lol. RBD, perhaps?

BTW ... that newer wagon isn't a Caprice, I don't think. The front end looks more like the Buick Roadmaster Wagon front end....or maybe the Oldsmobile version.....

Subject: [elky] Caprice Wagon for sale

This looks like a bone stock wagon for sale right up the street from me. It's the yellow one for sale, and I think the newer one right next to it has an LT1, and I would personally rather have that for it's engine (to put in the Elky). I am sending this to Cort twice, just because I know he likes these.

I have no idea how much it is, but I have been walking past it for a year or so on the way to Tom's place.

Just dreamin'

Back to work.
