[duxuser] this infernal page numbering business

I want to use Roman Numberals for my entire document. I set up the code for
beginning roman numbering. I set next page number at 1. I also set first page
number to 1. I get a Roman number one on the first page, no page number on the
second page and Roman number one on the third page. Do I have to put an extra
page break at the top of my document?
