Hi all, Today, yet again, we hit the problem of the fds and jkl keys not working for six-key entry. This was on a lap top computer, a Fujitsu 1010 Lifebook to be precise. Since the client had purchased a package including DBT and embosser, he wasn't best pleased at the possibility of having to use an external keyboard. Cutting a long story short we have discovered, in this particular case anyway, that if we re-map the six keys to q, w, e, o, p and [, it works a treat. To change what keys are used, you need close down DBT, then locate the duxbury.ini file, which is usually in the c:\windows folder. Open it in a plain text editor such as Notepad. Look for the line which says:- ChordKeys=fdsjkl and change it accordingly - in our case to, "ChordKeys=qweop[" (Without the quotes) Oddly enough, we found this to be a more comfortable combination. So if you do find you can't use six-key entry, try a few alternatives, usually at the extreme ends of the keyboard. I make absolutely no guarantees here, but it's worth a try.
