Hi This topic has come up regularly in the past, but I've not seen anything on what I'm about to ask, so hope someone can help me out. I'm using the word importer to bring chapters of a manual in to dbt 10.4. In the word document, there are numbered section headings e.g. 7.5, 7.5.1 etc. In word, these headings appear correctly, however, when I bring the document in to dbt, a lot of the headings are renumbered e.g. 7.5.0 for instance. This is most frustrating, and has even got to the point where something was numbered 7.6 after being imported, when it was 7.5 in the original document. Is there something I need to change in dbt, or word to stop this occurring? Also, how can I tell dbt not to recognise things like keystrokes or put things in a display style with hds and hde codes at the beginning and end of the display. It must be reacting to fonts or something in the word document, but if I could have more control over how the imported document came out, this would save me a lot of time and frustration. I don't want the text displayed as dbt presents it with the start and end display codes with hds and hde as well, simply as a new paragraph. I'm currently having to go through with search and replace to change the es~display to es~para. These have their brackets of course. Ee~display becomes ee~para. to I am not the writer of the original document, so if there was an importing feature I could turn on or off as desired to control the end result of the document after importing, this would be very helpful. Oh, some other details, I am selecting textbook as my template when I import. I've looked at the word importer dialog under global menu but can't find anything in there that appears to be what I need.
