Thanks George. That's a good idea about a braille PDF equivalent. But now I know how to work with what I need to do. Much thanks. (One of the reasons I would like to see the equivalent in braille of a PDF file, as a PBF or Portable Braille File) You will need to go to DBT's Global Menu, and select "Formatted Braille Importer" where you can specify lines per page and characters per line. I'm working through my course on DBT and it's going great. But I need to ask a question for which I haven't had experience yet. I want to create a braille document on my BrailleNote using the formatted .BRF format. I don't have a spare serial cable to emboss directly from the BN, so I intend to move the file to the PC and emboss directly through Duxbury. So, I open the braille file and choose emboss. That's easy. But will the paper size and characters per line and lines per page, etc. in the BRF file be preserved automatically, or do I need to change anything with the embosser setup in DBT? I assume what I have set in the original BRF file will be honoured. Jean
