Actually, that's governed by the settings for the Braille Format importer, which are in the Global Settings Menu. You have to check the box that says something like "emboss without interpretation." Sometimes, it's better to let DBTW interpret, depending on how the file was generated. Unfortunately, there's no way to tell when, so you have to decide case by case.
