Make sure that you are not using notebook 3-hole punch paper because many times the paper sensors see the holes in the paper as an "out of paper" indication. Also, make sure that there is no paper dust where the paper sensor is. You might want to get some compressed air if you can and use it to blow any paper dust that might have collected under the paper sensors out. There may be others on the list who have other ideas of what might be happening.

It sounds like the paper out-detector is not being covered by the
paper. I'm not sure where it's located on that machine. It
should be on the left edge of the paper near the front of the
machine.

Good day all
My name's Lillian - and I'm not too sure how this works... I am a
complete
newbie to Duxbury & printing in braille. I've learnt braille
since October
last year & set myself the target to learn duxbury & the printing
side of it
starting January. I've taken on a challenge to be a facilitator
for a 13yr
old boy who will be starting high school this year in a main
stream school.

We're in Cape Town, South Africa. The embosser we have is a
Romeo 25 model.
We'd gotten a user manual off the internet but I'm probably tone
deaf - and
too used to peripherals that speak to you visually if something
is wrong.. I
just cannot figure out how to get started with this printer.

There's a bit of tension between the family (my employers) and
the previous
facilitator & I'd prefer not to get in the middle of it if it
means that I'd
have to ask for her assistance.

Would anyone be able to assist and advise me what I'm doing
wrong? The Romeo
is playing the tones for out of paper - even tho there's a full
box of paper
fed into it & on the floor in front of the printer. The printer
is about hip
high on a counter. I've read that it could also be that the cable
is too
long - it does have quite a long cable which is rolled up at the
back of the
printer. We'll be moving the equipment to the school in 2 days
time when I'd
be albe to set it up & test it again.

I have tried to reset it to the factory settings as well - but I
don't think
that it helped as it just kept on playing the same out of paper
tune.
Could someone please advise?
Thanking you
Lillian Fortuin
