Good points, but of course DBT is flexible enough to allow you to do
the numbering almost any way you like. The Help files cover numbering
fairly extensively.

That's what we would want to do here, but I think the lady wants the
title and back with no numbering and the next page to be numbered as
1? Often done by our English-speaking cousins and, I think, often done
in print books. At Torch, though, I dislike seeing a title page of a
book with a number as to me it's a special page, but we make the 3rd
side 3 to make page counting safer and confusion in our Production
department less of a risk!

Hi Ann,
Sorry for the delay - I've been fighting deadlines.
Put your cursor at the start of the document, go to the Document menu,
Page Numbering, and at the foot of that dialog, there's "Show first
page number to display". Hopefully if you set that to three, your
problem will be solved.

I didn't find your words? something ate them???
I have Page 3 calling itself Page 1, which I want. But the real pages
1 and 2 still think they are pages 1 and 2. Can I make those numbers
disappear??
