Hi Victoria,

I believe Bill McCann of Dancing Dots is on the list, and
hopefully has a more in depth knowledge about your question.

I draw it to Bell's attention anyway.

George.

Subject: [duxuser] Open Score vs Standard Score Format

Any DBT-using music braillists . . .

Has anyone ever successfully manipulated the e-file of an
open score ensemble piece, such as a SATB chorus with piano
accompaniment, into standard format for each of the four
voices + separate accompaniment? Or, vice versa? Or, is it
more likely that one would need to produce separate
transcriptions? i.e., one ensemble transcription, one
transcription for each of the 4 voices, and a bar-over-bar
transcription of the accompaniment.

I'll ask this question of music braillists attending the NBA
conference next week but will be interested in hearing from
anyone out there who has any experience in this type of
thing. Thanx!

Victoria Scarborough
