It's pretty clear that I'm going to need to buy TGD Pro. Anyone got five hundred bucks they can lend me? If you can save your graphic as a JPEG or save it in My Pictures (which will be a JPEG file) this will help. Save as file type, scroll down to find JPEG. You must have the TGD Program. If you do, you can follow these directions. Open TGD Pro then click on TGD TraceME. Click on File, scroll down to Open/Import. Whereever you saved you file; whether it be in TGD Pro or My pictures...click on what you saved. It must be a BMP, JPG, JPEG or GIF file. It will ask you if you want to fill the screen....click on NO. Go to Editing Tools then click on prepare to Emboss Drawing first. Go to Edit for Embossing. The screen will say would you like to save your current drawing. Click on yes. Save as: Window will appear. Type your file name. Click on Save. The next Window you see is the Emboss Mode Editor. Go to Menu. Click on Save AS SIG file. Type in your File name. This will be saved as a SIG file. Clik on Save. You will see a small window that says saved SIG file. Click OK. Go to Menu. Click on go to Qik Tac. You will see the TGD Pro Menu appear. Click on TGD Qik Tac. If you click on Qik Tac and it doesn't close you can click on the red X on the menu, but make sure in the background the New file Window says TGD Qik Tac. Go ahead and close that window. Your graphic will appear in this window as a SIG file. You can move your graphic, add braille, paint, etc. or just emboss this graphic. Go to Save and save this graphic if you added new things to the graphic. You can now save this graphic in the TGD files or in My Pictures. I hope this helps. I love this program. I use it for graphs and many other things. I would find out what each button does in the Qik Tac Window. That's how I learned. To be honest, this program is a lot more daunting than I thought it would be. But I'm learning. I need some advice about tactile graphics. I have a fairly simple bitmap image I want to emboss. I have tried to import it to DBT and QuickTac but they say it needs to be in SIG or BRG format. Is there any way I can convert the image to one of these formats. Thanks! Michael K.
