George

I was too hasty in saying "I can see that your solution will
work" as I wrote it without actually trying it myself -- it clearly seemed
reasonable!!

However having followed what you have said, I am still finding a problem. The
para. codes do go but they are replaced by a line break so the paragraphs are
still not joined as the second one is on a new line. Agreed it is then possible
to delete the line break and then add in the required space. However this does
seem a bit of a sledgehammer to crack the proverbial nut!

Hi David,

Perhaps I didn't explain too well.

You only need to highlight a letter or two either side -
between the two paragraphs you want to join.

bla bla.</para.>
<para.>Bla bla

George.

Thanks for the suggestion. I can see that your solution will
work but it
is a little awkward if the paragraphs concerned are long.
This is
particularly the case for braille users of DBT.

If a simpler fix does not exist now then it would be
appreciated as a
future improvement.

Hi David,

Yes. Highlight the end of the first and beginning of the
second paragraph. Go to the Layout menu, Join Styles.

Although in an ideal world (hint, hint, Peter) it would be
nice to have an advanced user option to remove just one of a
pair of tags.

George.

Peter

I wonder if you know of a way round the following problem.

The codes <para.> and </para.> are linked. If one is deleted
the other
automatically deletes itself. This means that if you attempt
to merge
two paragraphs together by pressing [delete] [delete]
[space] at the
start of the second paragraph then both paragraphs loose
their codes and
the combined paragraph is no longer indented at its start.
