Okay, I wanted to start a fresh email here. So, as it stands, the current
idea on the table is to have Dennis as the sole Greater power in the new
world. Underneath him, we'll have a few Intermediate powers that "govern"
larger areas of interest and then beneath them we'll have deities that are
more focused in their portfolio's. I like this idea, because it puts Dennis
"above" everyone else and kind of sets it up to let them "fight it out" to
see who emerges as the more powerful of the deities. It should prove to
have some interesting effects.

One thing I've been thinking of is that the power of a deity is based on the
number of worshippers that they have. The greater the number, the greater
the power. So, as we create this world, most of the people will worship or
at least pay homage to Dennis, thus making him a greater power. The
Intermediate powers will have a good number of followers, particularly those
that are more focused. For instance Dennis would likely be worshipped by a
multitude of characters, alignments, races, classes etc. Someone like
Baish, would more likely be worshipped by fighter types, warriors or war
wizard types.

But, as time goes on, if Baish can manage to promote war across the world,
he might get more followers. But then there are those who oppose it and
would thwart his efforts. Very cool!

Let's see, for my characters who went along on the mission and want to be
deities:

Baish: I like him as the god of war. I think more broadly, the god of war,
combat, fighting prowess and showmanship, patron of gladiators.
What if he also was the god of axe wielding warriors? Would we
find that axes would become more prevalent than swords in a typical war?
That might be interesting.

Quasit: I could see Quasit as the possible god of magic. I'm not sure who
else is "up for the position", but he would definitely be interested in
forethought, planning, investigation and I'd like to include something about
getting multiple (diverse) people to work together towards a common goal. I
just don't know how to define it. Since he lead the group in the planes
which consisted of beings from several different worlds and different
classes and personalities, I would like to try and tie that in somehow.
Also patron of wizards perhaps?

Dove: I would see Dove as one of the nature deities, but a more focues one.
Perhaps a lesser or demi-power. Her focus could be rangers, woodlands,
hunting, archery and I'd like to throw something in about revenge or
something like that. Something very small that she barely recognizes, but
that got pulled in from her sub-conscious.

Okay, that's it for now, I should be available to talk a bit today.
