Thank you for bringing the topic to all of our
attention. I don't hear any kind of the big time
driving information until the information is printed
out. I had no idea this Pairs Team, (or any other
driving Team!) could be be denied USET support like
this! I agree with Dave, we need to be represented,
even if we are not going to be the winners. Once they
see they can do without you, the importance isn't
there.
I think you might get more aid, from going to the
Chronicle of the Horse. They have done extensive
coverage, many articles on USOC, USET, AHSA, NGB,
USAEq, while the control issue has been under legal
argument. The Chronicle has critisized all sides, so
I think they are looking to get a real settlement of
the issue for horse folks. The Chronicle is a weekly,
likes to be current on horsey issues. Time is
important here!! Maybe they would have other avenues
or contacts that would be of assistance. Perhaps you
could even get into Letters or have an article
written, covering this issue, and more details would
come forward. Again, your many list folks writing in
to complain, big numbers would help. Controversy gets
sales way up! Just an idea, no other national, horse
sport magazine, issued weekly. Chronicle gets to a
LOT of folks. No one else has mentioned the
Chronicle, that I have seen.
Chronicle site has phone numbers for BEST service,
during working hours and E-mail addresses.
