Hi all,
I have come across a reference referring to a TOL convict working on a WA farm
called Dudekerry – probably some time between 1855-1860. The writer was not
particularly good at spelling as he also refers to having been at ‘Burnberry'
at one time, so I wonder if anyone can think of what farm this phonetic
spelling might be? He had previously been to 'Glengarry Farm' which I have
located in the Geraldton district, but have no idea if Dudekerry is near that,
or down Bunbury/Albany area.
It is a bit of a puzzle to me…
