I discovered that in 1913 an under-age girl (under 21) needed parents'
written permission AND a special licence for her marriage.

I wonder if either of you gals (or others among the general ALL) could
expand on the meaning of a special license ... was it a mixed religious
wedding OR was it a spin-off denomination that needed the official stamp
from the CofE, or something quite different?
