Marg......No I hadn't seen it. Wow!! Thank you so much. His wife was my
Dad's twin sister so if he'd not died in the war, he'd have been my uncle.
Thanks also for the suggestion to contact the RAAF Museum. I will do that.
So that's Flight Officer Paddy Lucas, well, well, well. He was a lovely
fun-loving man according to reports and notices in the West Australian and
was only 26 when he was killed. This is the only photo I have of the couple
taken from Trove...they were at the first Radio Ball in 1939 - a very posh
affair judging by the other photos on the page and the mens' tuxedos.
Paddy's brother was Bill Lucas who owned W.J.Lucas electrical stores. I
shall add his image to my family tree.
