I am helping a lady with a small puzzle wondering if anyone may have
come across this and know the answer.
She was going through her late grandparents old papers and discovered
a letter to them from the Registrar in WA dated the 5th July 1971 the
application was in relation to an endorsement on a name change on a
birth certificate, the person it was for born 1st April 1971 in WA,
the application was made on the 16th June 1971 and granted 5th July
1971. The address it went to was in Dubbo NSW, the couple were on the
electoral roll in NSW 1972 and next appeared in WA in 1977. Prior to
this particular birth there were 3 daughters born 1961 onwards. Does
this indicate possibly an adoption of some sort?
