It's generally cheaper to both
join and definitely renew Ancestry subs via the UK or the US depending
on the exchange rates.
I've had my Ancestry sub with the UK for some years and have saved
$100's.
I have a Worldwide sub and can sign into any Ancestry site so I often
sign in to ancestry.com.au but pay in the UK.
Australia I think is the only country where they always have an
introductory sub and a much greater price for renewal.
Another Ancestry trick some use. Stop automatic renewal and let your sub
lapse. You'll usually be sent a discount offer in a few weeks. This
works with many subscription sites apparently. However with findmypast
you get an auto discount for auto renewal.
