[dokuwiki] Linking on Media files

Hi List,
a havent really found smth to this: I'd like to completely disable the
linking on shown media for my wiki. The option to enable by will would
be nice ... this behavior is completely the opposite of what it does now
(I dont want to disable the linking for every image by "nolink").
There is no switch for that, right? I can change this in the renderer -
which is pretty bad hacking I think. Will rewriting the renderer as
plugin be my only option, or did I miss a thing?
