Hi everyone,

I got the following mail about sharing a booth at Fosdem in Brussels
in January. I won't be able to do it but maybe some other people would
be interested in representing DokuWiki at one of the largest
OpenSource conferences?

Anyone up for it?

Andi

Hi Andreas,

I join you on behalf of the Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware (Tiki in short) community.

I was directed to you by Guy Brand, which whom i had the pleasure of
sharing a "wikis booth" at RMLL some years ago.

Two years ago, I helped organize a Wikis devroom at Fosdem with people
of the Wikimedia and Xwiki communities. This year, the Tiki community
would like to send a joint application for a booth together with other
wikis-oriented communities.

The reasons are:
* it is important and it is required to have at least 2 people on the
booth. We plan to be about 6 but there are a lot of conferences and
booths we want to see, too.
* There is a lot of competition for booths so a joint application has
more chances of being accepted.

So far, the Xwiki community have told me they like the idea and they
will very probably answer yes. I know wikimedia usually have their own
big booth, so I can't imagine they are interested. If we get it, we
will probably be side by side :)
If you know anyone else who would be interested… feel free to ask them.

As a reminder, this is what the Fosdem site says
(https://fosdem.org/2016/news/2015-09-24-call-for-participation/), the
deadline is Nov. 13th:
