[dokuwiki] Action

Hi list ...

I haven't really found something for the following: I want to modify the
search input field by an action plugin ... but I dont find a good way
for it except via interception in the template ... but thats not as good
as I want it to be ... so:

can I somehow intercept the whole rendered page to modify it or can I
somehow overwrite or get into the search template via an action plugin?

If so: how? ...

The last way that I could think of is completely javascript, but then I
cant do all of the things that I like to ...
