I think the pub crawl should be first and then see how the paintball goes. I'm out of town on that week end. That sucks too, I would have loved to show you some serious tactical skills (during the pub crawl that is). Enjoy. When is the next meeting btw? May 11th from 3-5pm at Cousin's Paintball in Forney. Details forthcoming from Jed Allsup (DIS dad and owner of Cousins). Afterwards, will be annual Pub Crawl. Stay tuned for details from John Olson. Should be a blast. Leadership and Participation Other Dallas private schools have 50+ people showing up at Dad's club. They're making us look like chumps (and they are no busier than we are....). This year Dad's Club took on the carnival, a family outing and a spring work day, in addition to the traditional stuff we've done (father/daughter, Valentines roses). Great year! But we've had very few new dad's involved. That's needs to change if we're to have an active club that really contributes to the school (there is burn out among those who've been carrying the load awhile). Consider stepping it up and nominating yourself for one of these roles: * President - organize and lead mtgs, OPEN * Carnival Chair - Richard Hunt * Father/Daughter Dance Chair - OPEN * Spring Work Day Chair - John Innes * Social Chair - plan social events like paintball, etc...OPEN * Recruitment Chair - recruiting new dads (fliers, yard sign, newsletter, backpack fliers, etc...), OPEN Send me an email (coteernie@xxxxxxxxx) if you're open to one of these roles.
