There is a similar issue working with PC and Xbox versions of DM - only one version can be installed at a time. So if you add in the DX8/DX9 dilemma, you then need 3 versions. I've had to uninstall and reinstall several times because of this and it bugs me... How about making DMP capable of having multiple versions inistalled on one machine MS? -----Original Message----- From: directmusic-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:directmusic-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Jason Booth Sent: 30 January 2003 21:06 To: directmusic@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [directmusic] Re: Managing DX8/DX9 issues.. Except that when authoring new content under DMP9, it may not load under a DX8.1 engine. This is my dilema.. -----Original Message----- From: Creus Brothers [mailto:creus@xxxxxx]=20 Sent: Tuesday, January 28, 2003 3:06 PM To: directmusic@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [directmusic] Re: Managing DX8/DX9 issues.. Well, actually I think that the solution is obvious, install DirectX 9 in all the machines, DirectX 9 loads DMP8 content with no hassle, isn't it true? > So, I have a project out the door using Direct Music 8.1.
