[devel.cofsug] Anyone willing to package lammps software

Folks,
My friends Sagil James want to install and use a software called
LAMMPS for - Molecular Dynamics (MD) Simulation. It is a Free
software provided by Sandia Labs USA. (http://lammps.sandia.gov/)
He is following steps given in
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1390490 but facing issues. A
classical case of people wanting to use a package not yet in debian.
Anyone wants to help Sagil by packaging this application for debian?
