Ok. You are doing it wrong. Try this.
1. Open the existing project.
2. Go to the track to be copied and go to the start of the project. Press ctrl
f9 and then ctrl f10 to select from beginning to end of project. Then press
ctrl enter to select the track.
3. Now press ctrl c to copy the track. Make sure that all boxes are checked.
4. Leave the project open, but press ctrl n to create a new project.
Alternatively, if the project you want to paste to is an existing project,
press ctrl o and open it.
5. Now in the new project, go to insert, soft synth, truePiano. In that dialog
that pops up, check the boxes for create midi track and creat first audio
track, then press enter.
6. Now, if the synth property window opens, press ctrl f4 to close it.
Otherwise, if you land back in the track view, you should be focused on the
truePiano's midi track that was just inserted. Press ctrl v to paste. Make sure
that paste at is set to bar 1. Press enter. Now the data should b copied. If
you still can't hear anything, press alt 4, and see if there are any events in
the track. If there are, the data copied but the module is not playing bak. If
this is the case, press ctrl f4 to close that window, then ctrl tab to go back
to the old project. Close it using ctrl f4, then try playing bak the new
project. If there are no events in the list however, that means the data isn't
being copied.

1. I have selected the entire track.
2. I have pressed on Ctrl+x to cut the track and in the dialog box I
have checked the following checkboxes:
1. events and tracks.
2. tempo and meter change.
then, I've pressed on the Ok button to close this dialog box.
3. I have copied the entire track.
4. after doing all the steps I have opened a new project and pasted
the content of the track and I have selected the new track option,
that is I think the first option in the combo box.
5. I have scroll with right arrow to the input field and have tried
choose truepianos but with no success. the options that were available
are:
1. drum map.
2. apro1 which is my keyboard.
I have chosen the Apro-1.
