Hey Stacey!

Try using the JAWS cursor and going to the top of the page.
Now, when you know you're in the far left hand corner, ctrl right cursor
along, until you hit something like "preset", or "default"?
Sometimes, left clicking on one of these can open up a list of presets.
Of course, this'll depend on the particular FX/synth you're trying to 
access?
On other occasions, sometimes you might need to wrap the particular app, 
with either the Cakewalk VST adaptor, or Directixer!
All these variants can make all the difference...
