I don't know, you can read about these midi fx plugins in the sonar help file under "editting midi events and controllers"|"midi effects-midi plugins" ----- Original Message ----- From: "neville" <neville@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Isn't adding a value to each vilocity the same as adjusting the vilocity trim in the track pain? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Phil Halton" <philhalt@xxxxxxxxxxx>

Altering velocities of midi note events. The plug lets you do several things to note velocities including:

Set all velocities to a specific value(0-127) with/without random variation.
Add a value to each velocity
Scale velocities by percentage
etcetera

You can read about these midi fx in the sonar help system.

I beg to differ,

All the MIDI FX included in Sonar are accessible. You just need to know the layout of the interface, read the help files, and use the jaws cursor. I use the Velocity MIDI FX all the time. They all have essentially the same interface, and by knowing how its laid out, and the purpose of the various sliders and knobs, you can do OK in them.

I posted a message on their use a while back and wonder if there's an archive for Dots-l somewhere?

Hey Stace!

You cannot access many "midi FX" at all, I think you're limited to chorus, verb and perhaps, some kinda delay! You're only going to be able to access any worthwhile FX, after converting to audio.

Good luck

Hey Stacey!

Try using the JAWS cursor and going to the top of the page.
Now, when you know you're in the far left hand corner, ctrl right cursor
along, until you hit something like "preset", or "default"?
Sometimes, left clicking on one of these can open up a list of presets. Of course, this'll depend on the particular FX/synth you're trying to access? On other occasions, sometimes you might need to wrap the particular app, with either the Cakewalk VST adaptor, or Directixer!
All these variants can make all the difference...

What are you trying to access the presets of?
