No, you don't want it turned on. It causes the audio waveform to constantly be drawn on the screen, which certainly takes up cpu resources and does nothing for us.

What is the wave form preview? I must have hit a key inadvertently and it is off. It must have something to do with the select F7 through F10 keys because it is acting all gooffy when I try to select an area. I presume it should be on instead most of the time. If so, how do I get it back on?Ross Wine-Sky ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq]** or send a message, to ** ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
