Brian,

Pressing the letter P (I think you also listened to Jackie's presentation,
didn't you?) will change the style from A to B. Both are the same style, but
slightly different to give some coloration. Whenever a style changes the
drums (and other instruments) will usually play a preparatory riff in
anticipation.

Problem is that when pressing P there is no audio feedback to tell us just
what it was changed to. If it was nothing, and the previous was A then it
becomes B. If it was B then it becomes A. Also it's possible to define
completely different styles in a song and each will set up a new pair of
letters C/D, E/F, etc. So if you have any others, then you will be cycling
through A, B, C, D, E, F,... finally back to A.

Only way I've found to do this right is to make sure you have the chord
window open, then activate the JAWS cursor and use that to wander around in
the window to hear the bar numbers and whether they have A, B, C, D, or
nothing attached to them. IF there is a letter, it will be part of the bar
number, such as 2A, 12B, 22C. They will not be separate like the chord
names, so you really need to listen carefully as you navigate to know what
you're seeing.

In this mode, I usually prefer to right click on a bar number and bring up a
context menu that allows you to specify the A/B, and also to define other
style pairs.

I'm not a fan of pressing the letter P and hoping that it did what I
expected -- I'd rather use the JAWS cursor and be sure.

This would be a very nice area to script for better feedback, if at all
possible.

Dave

Chris,
Do you know how to insert like a drum fill using biab? Isn't it like with
the letter P or something?
