You could always put the meter in 4/4 according to how quick you want each dotted quarter going buy, I.E. Dotted quarter = 100. Then when you're done recording, you can switch the meter back to where it needs to be, with the correct tempo.

guys,is there any way to make the metronome in Sonar accommodate 12/8 so that the metronome gives you dotted quarters as downbeats?
