[ddots-l] has anyone ever messed with the metronome in Sonar?

guys,
is there any way to make the metronome in Sonar accommodate 12/8 so that the
metronome gives you dotted quarters as downbeats? I know you can do that in
Sibelius, but I'd love to play something in 12/8 without hearing each 8th note
go by. any ideas?
