Omar,

I'd also be very interested in hearing about your experience with device
when it arrives - my brother-in-law is looking to get started in
multi-tracking and this looks like the right thing for him. He's sigted,
but a complete novice in audio, so I reckon the two things will cancel out
(grin).

Best wishes.

Herman,

Steve Wickets from this list uses an older one from fostex. I hear they're
fairly accessible. I just picked up a fostex mr8 hd and it'll be here this
week. I can let you know what i think of it. It's got 8 tracks and an
internal 40 gig harddrive.

Has anyone had any luck with some of the newer portable
4-track/8-track
        stand-alone recorders?

What experiences have you had good and bad?
