Neville, You need to check your settings in the FW1884 control panel. You open the control panel with the center key on the left side of the machine. This will pull up the control panel setting menu. You will need to tab four times to the "clocking source". Make sure the clock is set on "internal" if you do not have any external ADAT or other gear that requires clock sinking. If you are using an external preamp such as the Octo-pre or Personas, you will need to set this on "Digital ADAT" rather then "internal". If this is not the case, you will need to shutdown all un used drivers under the same control panel. You will need to (control plus tab) over to the "quick start" menu and (Tab) through each of the hardware controls for the FW1884, shutting down any ins and outs that you will not be using at the current time checking and unchecking with your spacebar. Remember, you also need to do this with all drivers in the Sonar audio settings. disable all drivers for any sound cards, whether it be on board to your motherboard or not. Don't worry, if you are using the sound card for JAWS, this doesn't stop JAWS from using the card only Sonar. And most importantly... always reprofile your audio devices between each changes that are made and exit Sonar and reload Sonar for good measure. Last night though I started hearing many pops and clicks almost like an old record player. I've adjusted IO buffer size, changed audio latency, changed drivers from WDM back to ASIO and back again, but nothing seams to work. Now I'm out of options any suggestions from those of you that have this machine would be greatly appreciated. thanks much
