It's a general-purpose MIDI utility - you can use it to do all sorts of
stuff, such as monitor exactly what your gear is spitting out; providing
keyboard splits on keyboards that won't do it as a built-in function; etc..
It even provides a programming interface to help write MIDI software of your
own.  It's free for non-commercial use and you can get it from:

http://www.midiox.com

I firmly believe that if you do any amount of MIDI, you need a copy of this
little gem.
