Thanks James.
Before saving a project, I'll make sure that all input echo is off. I then save the project. When I bring back the project to work on it again. Input echo is now on, even though I saved it with input echo off.

Hi HF,
Okay,
What I did was I started a new project, armed all tracks with input echo on
and saved it as a empty project.
I didn't record any sound in it as well so I don't blow my speakers out.
I Then I unarmed all tracks, and turned input echo off.
I closed the program, however I got the do you want to save changes message.
I said no and closed the program again.
I opened the program and Input echo was on.
I then turn input echo off but kept the armed tracks in their same state in
the arm position, then saved and closed the project.
After reopening it, I found that input echo was off, and arm tracks were on.
So either make sure to do a save after everything is done, or if your not
sure and you don't want to keep that file, save it under a different name.
Hope this helps.
James

OK, but what if you save it with the echo off. Shouldn't it come back with
echo off since that was the last thing that you did?
I've made sure to do this sometimes. The last thing I've done before saving
a project is to turn off input echo. But no matter what I do, the input echo
is always on when I return to the project.

In saving a project I find that if you have either solo, meut record
or input echo on, it will save like that until you turn it off.
This is because that was the last event that happened before closing
Sonar.

This happened in Sonar 4, but now I realize that it's also in Sonar 5.
If you save a project with input echo off, and you later return to
that project, the input echo is on again. Regardless of the fact that
you saved it, with the input echo off.
Does anyone else have this problem?
