I hope December will be a blessed month for you and yours. I was wondering if we could book a time to talk on the phone, or to use JAWS tandem in order to set up my PCR 500. I have everything working well. I simply want to load the extra mapping information from my DVD to Sonar 8.5. I learned how to use the midi learn feature, and that works great, but it takes a little extra time. My desire is to create a template that would be the ideal default for me. Anyway, I’m enjoying the program, and I can’t wait to get some recording on the way. I often have windows of time in the late afternoon during weekdays, Mondays I am free all day, and sometimes I have time in the evenings. If you are interested, I would appreciate your help, and I would enjoy speaking with you. Have a great day, Fr. In actual fact I’m trying to arrange to go see Bill in his next conference, if my work will let me. I’m indeed playing both guitar and keyboards this weekend at my local church. It was a pleasure writing to you. Many thanks. From: Fr. Thank you for your input. I sure hope I can find that CD which came with my product. If I need some assistance, could we work together using Jaws Tandem? Or, at least to work over the phone? My email is: fathertim@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx No rush. You sound very busy, so let’s just play it by ear. It will happen when it happens. You and I should get together with Bill sometime in PA. Have a great weekend. Are you playing guitar on Sunday? God bless, Fr. I have been using Sonar for about 10 years, and also use the Goodfeel package from Dancing Dots. I’ve known Bill for about 15 years, but we’ve actually never met, and its really thanks to him that I was able to get my skills in the computer domain, in finally beeing able to communicate my work with sited persons. Infact before I got to know bill and DancingDots I almost gave up my pation of writing music, and teaching too, and with the Good Lords help, and my brother who gave me lots of currage I persued and stuck to my venter in finally graduating at the univercity of Concordia with a BA in music, and am on my way to starting a masters in Educational technology. I now work at a rehab centre here in Montreal, and we are the first centre in Quebec to actually offer training to clients who are visually impaired, or totally blind training in the use of GoodFeel, and Sonar along with CakeTalking. Along with lots of venues that I’m involved in which are writing, working with bands, I work at a church as a accompaniest playing guitar and Keyboards. for the Sunday catitism class. with response to your issue I believe the Edirol PCR 500 had a CD with maps which you could load to allow you to adjust your rotery, and sliders for what you wish. Furthermore, rather then use the ACT learn feature, you could use the Asign feature, and take a snap shot of your track template. If you’d like I’d be more then glad to assist you. Let me know. There are many helpful and talented people here and it's always fun for me to see the kind of mutual support that occurs on a daily basis. Others will know much more about specifics of Act than I. But, as far as I know, Act can be useful but has some general overall problems as well as some accessibility barriers. I have never tried to use it myself. I am a Catholic Priest ministering in Ottawa, Ontario in Canada. In my spare time, I like to compose music. I am new to CakeTalking with Sonar 8 Producer. I am 36 years old and I play keyboards and sing, usually backing vocals. I am trying to use ACT to assign the rotary buttons and sliders to adjust pan and volume on my Edirol PCR 500. I am able to get into the menus, but I don't seem to know how to assign things the way I would like. Is there anyone out there who might be willing to coach me through the process? Thank you very much. Fr. Tim
