yes, you can do that with the sonic foundry noise reduction, or steinberg denoiser or waves plug ins x noise or some other by voxengo. you capture a noiseprint and then you can adjust how much you want to de noise as it will also grab some of the frequencies of the recording ----- Original Message ----- From: "Todd Houghton" <toddhoughton@xxxxxxx>

Hey guys. I am starting a project of archiving some old reel to reel tapes using Sonar 7. Is there any way to take a snap-shot of the noise at the beginning of the tape to eliminate it from the music? Thanks for any help.
