Hi Rui,
Thanks for the info. I don't really want to get into having another editor on
my system, however, I have a buddy who's using it. As for the turntable
controller, I want to be able to keep things in the digital domain; but I also
want to be able to effect audio that's generated from sources other than
records, etc.

Maybe with SoundForge you will manage to do something like that.
Or, try to findsome friendly hardware, a 2nd hand turn table controler, on
the web, who knows?!
