Since you're not a keyboard player, you shouldn't care much about semi-weighted or hammer action. You just want to get your ideas out of the keyboard and into Sonar. So, simple velocity sensitivity is probably good enough for your needs. M-Audio probably makes something that fits the bill. I have no specific suggestions. I'm a five-string banjo picker-not a keyboardist-but I know a little piano basics, and like to noodle around with MIDI. With that in mind, do you have any suggestions? I'm not interested in a keyboard synth-just a controller(USB interface only for my laptop). Also, I want a 4 octave model. Is semi-weighted key action something worth considering? Or, is it a case of going for full weighted or nothing-semi weighted being not significantly better than velocity sensative? thanx ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** ddots-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
