That is actually a good suggestion. In general, jaws does have problems with
the newer creative cards. If your system has integrated audio such as one of
the sound max chips, use that instead.

Hi, I have been fighting this problem for the last4 months. I made a AMD
dual core 4800+ with 4gb of RAM. I use a Creative Labs Audigy 2, 8000 series
for the general voice card.

I have been in R&D research since 1980 and made the first talking computer
then which was a CP/M. I only say this because Freedom Scientivic could not
help me at all and figured my new computer was just to fast.

I also found that if your moving around very fast in "PC" mode it will also
freeze on you. I talked directly with Creative Labs and they sent me a beta
driver to try. That fixed my freeze ups. I told them about it and they
released it as the new driver. I find that it's Jaws that is the problem but
you will not find help there so what ever sound card you are using try to see
if the company has a newer driver for your brand of sound card. Since the new
driver for mine it hasn't jammed up once.

That's where I encounter the most problems is when closing an application
like internet explorer, AOL instant messenger, or outlook express. With me
though, an application error box pops up asking you ifyou want to send this
error report. Then I have to restart jaws, and if that doesnt work, i have
    to reboot entirely.
