We're hearing this question a lot so I thought I'd post it here for list
members:

Question: Is CakeTalking compatible with SONAR 4 yet?

Answer: No, CakeTalking does not yet work with SONAR 4. The current
shipping version of CakeTalking for SONAR only works with SONAR 3 and JAWS
5.1. BTW, if you do not yet have JAWS 5 now is a good time to order an
upgrade from Dancing Dots along with a Software Maintenance Agreement. Call
us for details at 610-783-6692.

We should begin a beta test for the first release of CakeTalking scripts
that do work with SONAR 4 within a few days and we are hopeful that we'll be
shipping that product before end of calendar 2004. Meanwhile, by special
arrangement with the manufacturer, Cakewalk Music Software, Dancing Dots
will include a copy of SONAR 3 with every order of SONAR 4 we receive until
we do have CakeTalking scripts for SONAR 4. In addition, anyone who orders
CakeTalking for SONAR 3 before 12/15/04 will receive a free, downloadable
upgrade to CakeTalking for SONAR 4.

See "Upgrade Policy for CakeTalking for SONAR and Cakewalk SONAR" at
