i'd say the track and bus volume are summed. the wet dry realition will depend on the plug in settings.

anyway with ct you can check out the output meters.

Subject: [ddots-l] Buss effects & track outputs

I have a basic question concerning sending audio to a buss.

If a buss sends level in a track is set to 0.0 db, and the track and buss both have their output set to master, then, what is the output of the master buss? That is, is the audio "split" between the buss & track, then summed at the master output? I'm having trouble understanding how the level of the master output will be affected.

If there is a reverb effect on the buss, but no effects on the track, and the buss send is at 0.0 db, will the resulting master output have 50% wet and 50% dry signal? will the summed level from both the track & buss be greater than the origional track level?

If so, how does one compensate for the increase in level? I hope my questions are clear. I'm just now beginning to work with effects and busses, so please taylor your answer to a complete newby on the topic.
