Yup, the flip 300 (there's probably a better model by now) is a great choice
for that.

Subject: [ddots-l] Accessible program for recording with webcam?

Hey all, anyone know of a accessible program for recording a video with your
webcam for youtube and other things? Also, anyone have any idea why people
prefer to record with regular cameras instead of a more expensive webcam?
What I am wanting to do is record some guitar lessons and put them on an
online site for people to pay a monthly membership to have access to. The
webcam that I have has a video resolution of 720 P as well as 8 MP for
taking pictures. Now is this ok for letting people stream from the net? Or
maybe putting on DVD or something? They had another webcam that was 1080 P
for video and was 10 MP and I thought about buying that one but wanted some
other ideas first. If I could use this stuff to record the videos and it
would be good enough quality to put online, this might be easier and more
accessible then memoriseing the layout of a camera. So any ideas? I have
heard that most webcams don't live up to there spects.
