a.. The National Disability Insurance Scheme will fundamentally change the way
people with a disability, their families and carers are supported in Australia.

a.. This is a once-in-a-generation reform that will involve people with
disability, their families, carers and service providers. Under an NDIS -
people with a disability will have access to the care and support we all know
they deserve - at home, at work and in our community.
a.. Melbourne Labor would like to invite you, and all your staff, clients and
friends, to attend an important public briefing by the Honorable Jenny Macklin
MP, the federal Minister responsible for disability reform.
a.. The Minister will explain the structure of the NDIS, the progress being
made to launch the scheme, and answer your questions about how it will change
the lives of people with a disability, their families and those that support
them. Ric Holland, the CEO of Melbourne Citymission will discuss the impact the
reforms will have on the disability sector.
