Hello all,

Who would be interested in this campaign with Deaf Victoria about Big 4 cinemas
for not having the right supportive means for deaf and blind people?

This is about Action on Cinema Access.

Deaf Victoria are looking for interested people to make a complaint against the
Big 4 cinemas for not investing in support needs that benefits deaf blind
people to see movies.

CaptiView in particular discriminates against those who have Usher's, are tall
or short, are children, have glasses or other vision impairment.

Deaf Victoria are going to make a group complaint through Victorian Human
Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission. This was chosen because this means at
the end of it all, there is no risk to us financially, even if it goes to
court. To get a fair representation of people. Deaf Victoria would be
getting free legal advice from Disability Legal Service

If you have tried CaptiView or liked / disliked it and if you were able to
access it comfortably?

Are you willing to consider being a part of our complaint group?

To show the cinemas that CaptiView is not a one size fits all solution and they
MUST consider other options so everyone can access movies comfortably.

Please let Deaf Victoria know if you are interested.
