Prospective Leaders Program Launch The Royal Society for the Blind, in 
conjunction with the Australian Institute of Management SA is proud to 
introduce the Prospective Leaders Program. Providing a leadership pathway to 
enhance professional competence for South Australians who are blind or vision 
impaired, the inaugural program will launch on Tuesday, 5 June at the 
Australian Institute of Management (AIM). The program aims to develop future 
leaders in the blind community by enhancing communication, developing and 
maintaining networks and improve employability skills related to personal 
presentation, writing skills and self-esteem. The 10 participants who are blind 
or vision impaired will be mentored throughout the duration of the program, 
which includes 12 three-hour AIM workshops. “The participants range in age from 
17 to 47 and it is envisaged that they will go on to advocate for the South 
Australian blindness community,” said RSB Community
 Services Manager, Dennis Moir. “They’re a fantastic group of people, from 
Rachel Henderson who will soon compete at the Paralympics for Goal Ball to 
Michael Zannis who represents Australia for Blind Cricket,” said Dennis. The 
program mentors come from a range of corporate backgrounds across Adelaide , 
including KPMG Advisory, Norman Waterhouse Solicitors and Boston Kennedy
