It "sounds" good to me. I am concerned that we would create confusion with any similar named organization. We ought to ask the blessing of the DaytaOhio Project. If they are unwilling to give permission then it's probably not a good idea. Howard V. Our company(CDO) is on their partners' list. I am supporting their SQL Databases for the Team Center (Online Collaboration) Application. I believe it's a TeraData shop and I doubt if they have any Oracle folks in their group. But I can check and let you guys know. -----Original Message----- From: dayton-oracle-organizers-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:dayton-oracle-organizers-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Catherine Devlin Sent: Tuesday, October 02, 2007 3:39 PM To: dayton-oracle-organizers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [dayton-oracle-organizers] Re: Group name On 8/30/07, Vijay Pasupuleti <v_pasupuleti@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > How about OraDayta? Though it sounds very similar to DaytaOhio Project. Speaking of DaytaOhio, do you (or any of us) know anything about them? I've glimpsed their office and been intrigued, but I really don't know any details. Could they provide recruits? Fodder or a speaker for a meeting? Does anybody have any personal contacts there? I've met one of their office personnel briefly, but no more - I'll try running with it if nobody has any closer connection. -- - Catherine http://catherinedevlin.blogspot.com/
