Have copied a document from the RiscPC to Windows and then created a
PDF with Bullzip.
One problem that has arisen is that the Draw picture in a frame which
had a transparent background is black.
Is this because the draw file has been converted to a jpeg in
converting to PDF? and what steps can be carried out to maintain the
transparency?

That is interesting. A draw file will not be converted to JPEG... but
the thing is a Draw file can contain many things, sprites, lines,
JPEGs. So potentially it is a very complicated situation.
Is there a simple way of reproducing this effect?
Yes and have done some more work.
The original was done in Impression on the RiscPC and then converted to
Ovation Windows but the picture itself was drawn as a sprite and had a
mask .
Impression saves pictures as draw files and gets converted as such and
displays correctly in Ovation Pro but it is the conversion to pdf from
Ovation that the mask gets converted to black.
The sprite was a line drawing and needs to be overlaid across another
picture.
I think that is what has happened... now to find a way around it.
