Cathy,
Chris K has been handling the antenna side of things for the most part, so
I'll let him answer regarding the Mosley. I have a partial roll of P-cord
I'll bring. I may try and stop by the Army Navy store and pick up some more
to be safe.
From my understanding of alternate power operation, we will need a
dedicated operating position that only uses alternate power. To prevent
increasing our operating class from 3A to 4A, the ARRL allows us to remove
another station from the air while the alternate power station is
operating. In order to obtain the 100 point bonus, We need to make at least
5 contacts that must be logged separately. The regulations are referenced
in the ARRL Field Day rulebook, section 7.3.8, for anyone who wants to read
them.
Personally, I think having PV panels on site will be a great way to
demonstrate how alternative/renewable energy can be utilized by the radio
amateur.
